Dr. Sabra Royer provides comprehensive naturopathic care with a focus on women’s health. She combines naturopathic principles with an evidence-based approach to address a wide array of common women’s health concerns including: menopause and perimenopause, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, irregular periods, PCOS, preconception support, infertility, Hashimoto’s and thyroid disorders, adrenal dysfunction, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
Dr. Royer is passionate about providing individualized care to women during menopause and perimenopause. She is well-versed in prescribing bioidentical hormone therapy and also utilizes non-hormonal therapies depending on each person’s needs and goals. She uses a whole-body approach to address common symptoms of menopause including hot flashes, vaginal dryness, fatigue, poor mood, and sleep changes.
She also provides pelvic floor therapy for women. This treatment can help address an array of issues such as urinary incontinence (leakage), interstitial cystitis, prolapse, pelvic pain, pain with sex, and postpartum recovery. She received training from both Tami Kent, MSPT and Herman & Wallace Institute, and combines these two methods to incorporate a holistic approach with conventional physical therapy techniques.
Dr. Royer always works to address the foundations of health including nutrition, movement, emotional wellness, and sleep. She is certified in CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) and enjoys being able to offer this safe and effective therapy for chronic insomnia. As a physician, if there are underlying medical issues or functional imbalances contributing to poor sleep, she can identify and address these as well.
She grew up going to a naturopathic doctor since she was a young child, and is honored to provide holistic and compassionate care to others. She earned her undergraduate degree in Physiology at the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine. She completed her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at NUNM in 2015 where she then completed a teaching residency. Outside of her practice, she is a mother and enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the great outdoors.
